Greek symbols (omega,etc) are most related with school frats.
As far as Christian you have Knights of Columbus which is Catholic and uses I believe an anchor and dove like symbol.

You have Opus Dei (Catholic) which are not allowed to use any sort of modes of recognition but a symbol has developed over the years which is a circle with a cross in it.

As far as a horse shoe in all my studies I have never seen a society with it. I would associated the symbol to be used in the 60s-80s the most on jewelry.
