traditionally they have been used for funerals because they are simple, not flamboyant or colorful, and the white color suggests purity. but nowadays, they are being used and enjoyed in all different ways; as great bedding plants, potted plants, wedding flowers. one reason for this is because they are now available in many beautiful colors and sizes. although the large, old-fashioned white ones are beautiful, they still remind me of funerals.I prefer the yellow or purple ones.
