ok, I've read several questions where this term was mentioned...can't find an explaination in answers anywhere so perhaps you all can enlighten me?
Also - there was a comment about "go back to school and take the course again" what does that mean - related to scamming?

Thank you for your answers so far - I think the "scammer" I'm talking about is related to either email or gaming on the net. (I don't do gaming, so maybe that's why I'm not familiar).
But anyway - I do know what a "scam" is, I just thought this was an interesting term when I read some answers to some questions that were posted. for example " would you rather be a million aire or ....." then some answers mentioned him being a scammer..... any thoughts?

It's like in a game where someone would send you a box that is supposed to have the "SUPER UBERMASTERWEAPONZOMGAAHHH" in it. They want you to pay 3000000000000000000000000gold pieces (or whatever your currency is) and when you open up the box there is the "loserweaponthatnoobsuse". So you just got scammed by paying 30000000000000000000000000000 gold pieces to a guy for a noob weapon. (Just examples)

And "Go back to school and take the course again, in related to scamming means basically "You are a bad scammer, we all see your scam. Go think it out and try to make a new one.

scamming is when a person or corporation puts out a product that is nowhere near as reliable as it was made out to be. some dont even exist at all. a scammer is the person who orchestrates the whole operation

i will give you 100 dollars for each cow...

but i only give 50 dollar per cow to you.

that is scamming because yuo lost possesion/(money if done vice versa)
