Yes on the provision that it is pre-booked and that it is covered by the minimum of third party insurance
The insurance is the most important bit
Many brokers are telling customers that they need to provide the MOT to obtain the insurance
This is totally wrong and illegal. Insurance first and MOT after, you are not able to take or keep any vehicle on the public roads without the insurance
So to recap get the insurance first and don't take no for an answer
remember insurance
First
Got it
OK
Good
Now what did I say. Oh yes INSURANCE FIRST

Yes, but the booking has to be in black and white at the garage, so they can back you up if you're stopped. Any Police Officer knows you can't get tax without an mot so it's not an issue.

Yes provided the MOT. station is local and the vehicle is insured and you drive straight to the test you can also drive the vehicle away even if it fails providing it is not in a dangerous condition e.g. brakes not working hope this helps

As long as it is booked in and you drive it to the test station only ,if it fails you have to drive it home by the most direct route.
