Whenever I visit London, the locals seem ill; they are pasty-faced, never smile or talk and look generally forlorn. Perhaps the rest of the nation should take pity, and send them some food parcels. I also intend saving some jokes out of Christmas crackers to send to them, to cheer them up.

You are forgetting the bit about them being rude - shutting doors in your face etc and racing around at 100 miles an hour!
Apart from tourists people in London are miserable, I don't think they will see the humour in your cracker jokes either!

hay hay , whats all this crap ! are you forgetting what England has done for you ? you lot are miserable, ignorant and arrogant , English people should send you some manners, and by the way, if your having a go about their food, what about yours ? a fast food restaurant on every corner , is that why you lot have high cholesterol and are fat and over weight ? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm makes you think and also, if your president hadn't of got your men in Iraq , half of the British guys would still be alive today , the british are standing by the usa so have some damm respect !

Londoners only eat jellied eels? And have no sense of humour?
I'm a londoner, have never eaten jellied eels (and no one I know actually has done) and having seen many many \][[;p[[[[[[[] (sorry that was the cat) london comedians - i beg to differ.
I hold open doors for people behind me, I smile if someone smiles, I laugh if something's funny.
I just think you haven't gotten to grips with the necessity to keep your head down cause i think you'll find its often those tourists that don't welcome a joke or a smile, besides the americans cant hack our sense of humour, they dont get it, or they get offended.
