Yes sure! First. Is a matter of good manners and Second i may have disturbed some aliens around.
Now i have to be serious
Sound travels in waves like light or heat does, but unlike them, sound travels by making molecules vibrate. So, in order for sound to travel, there has to be something with molecules for it to travel through. On Earth, sound travels to your ears by vibrating air molecules. In deep space, the large empty areas between stars and planets, there are no molecules to vibrate. There is no sound there.
So if you are inside a spaceship you sould say sorry cause everybody would be able to listen to it and smell it. If you are outside in deep space nobody would be able to listen to it. Also try not to smell it it there:)
I would have said sorry anyway.

When you say "space", presumably you are talking about being beyond the earth's atmosphere. If so, then the farter would have to be wearing some kind of space suit. The only one to smell it would be the farter him/herself. Whether he/she would still say excuse me is dependent on the individual.
(Of course, whether or not the perpetrator would in fact smell his/her own fart inside the space suit depends on the mechanics of the suit)

No, I never say excuse me when I fart, but when I burp I always say excuse me, it's just something that I don't think about and just say.
