I had my miscarriage 7/99, then I had my son 1/2001. I decided to wait a little after I had my miscarriage to let my system heal and if by some miracle I got pregnant, then great.
Do not fret over getting pregnant again, it will happen and you'll eventually have that little squiggly guy in your arms 9 mo later.
As far as your period goes, I know I didnt have mine for about a month and a half afterwards. Did you go to a follow up exam from your ob/gyn? He's in the best situation to tell you when you should start and whats up with your periods.

I had a miscarriage, and then a baby no longer long after, then yet another miscarriage. thinking i became informed i'd by no ability get pregnant, I seen that one a blessing. 2 years later i circulate pregnant lower back, and we had fun and theory we would by no ability get pregnant lower back. Then #3 became born 18 months after #2...WOW! Then #4 became 15 months after #3, then 18 months later #5....we began thinking it became some style of cosmic shaggy dog tale! #6 became born 2 years after #5, and huge form seven (we call her seven of 7) became born 2 years after #6. My SIL additionally confronted various miscarriages, 4 or 5 i think of, she stopped telling us after a whilst. She have been given pregnant approximately ten years in the past although, and then popped out 5 in ten years. So we are the two extremely pleased with our little advantages. i'm sorry on your loss, i do no longer understand what else to tell you different than to maintain your hopes up. I by no ability theory i'd be so blessed, and that i remember those days of dread, each month of praying. We have been entire nuts throughout our pregnancies, quite considering all of our miscarriages have been after 12 weeks...some distance into the trimester of 'protection'.

I know it's not what you want to hear as it's not a concrete answer - but as soon as you have another period, you'll be ready to try again. Miscarriages often throw your cycle off a bit at first, so you may want to be prepared to monitor your fertility signs when menstruation returns - changes in cervical mucous, etc. I highly recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, which will tell you everything you need to know and then some. :)
Best of luck to you, and I'm so sorry for your loss.

i had a miscarriage about 2 years ago for the same reasons as you. i got told to wait till i had at least one normal period. however it took just over 18 months for me to conceive again and im now 15 weeks pregnant so dont be worried if it doesnt happen right away for you.

It can tkae up to 3 months after a MC to get your period back so have no worries there. I've personally had a MC and a molar pregnancy so i know what your going through it's hard especially when your trying. But don't give up. Look at it this way you can get preg. thats a good sign a lot of women can't even get preg. you know you can. and as for the MC it's your bodys way of telling you there was something really wrong that you would't be able to handle so it took care of it for you. It's going to be hard to get over but just take little steps everyday to prepare yourself for another baby get into the right shape keep taking vtami9ns adn eat healthy. I got preg. right aay ofter my MC and nevr got aperiod so it can happen but I ould seek the adivse of your OB and that will likely be to wait for at least for 1st cycles to come.

When I was young I also miscarried, although the doc never said why, because I was real young and honestly happy that I wasn't going to have a baby yet, but I have read alot about the subject and it happens more than you think it does, most women don't even know that they are having a miscarriage. But back to my point, I have had two perfectly healthy children, and had a perfect pregnancies and deliveries.

Doctors suggest you wait 3 months after having a miscarraige so your body can build itself back up. Having a miscarraige is hard on the body. Give yourself time for your period to straighten up, your hormones to get back to normal.
