when i stick my ipod into my computer, the "F:" drive opens up instead of itunes like it used to. how do i fix this? in itunes, i have checked "open itunes when this device is connected"

I assume the "F" drive is your USB drive, which may open anyway, depending on your computer/software. If a menu opens that askes you what you want to do--like when you put in a DVD and it asks whether you want to watch it with windows media player, or to open the files, or to take no action--choose "open with Itunes" and be sure to check the "always use this action" box.

If you can't figure it out, Itunes should still register the Ipod, even if you have to open Itunes first.

You should update your version of iTunes and if thats not the problem, uninstall iTunes then install it again.
