I was walking on the street and an older man was hanging up a poster at his bodega and fell into the pile of oranges and pears. I said sir are u okay, but he screamed at me and told me to leave him alone. Could I have done anything more?

If I were in your shoes, I would have walked away after the man's remark, and looked back after a while to see if he was ok. If he seemed to be doing fine on his own, then I would have gone about my business, but if he was still having trouble, I would probably return to help him, or make sure he was ok.
