I voted for Bush (sorry to say) But everyone's entitled to a few mistakes. I cant believe we have to wait another 21mos to be rid of him. Seems like everyones fake these days, they tell you what you want to hear and do what they want anyway...
Keep that in mind those of you who plan on voting for Hillary!!

A true conservative does not believe in big government. Therefore, a conservative should not support Bush's bigger government.

Nobody supports a growing deficit. This is not an issue for either side. Where conservatives and liberals differ is their belief on how to rid that deficit. Conservatives believe in lowering taxes to grow the economy, therefore resulting in more taxes being collected overall (which works, BTW) whereas liberals believe in raising taxes and using that extra money to eliminate that deficit.

And let me quote Thomas Sowell about war:
"It is staggering that anyone could be so self-infatuated as to single out their own particular policy preferences as 'anti-war.' Anyone who is not a sadist or an idiot is anti-war. The only serious issue is how best to limit, deter or conclude war. But responsibility for confronting this issue is evaded by those preoccupied with the moral preening of being 'anti-war.'"

The conservative belief is not the problem. The problem as I see it is the supposed "conservative" politicians that use liberal policies and piss off both sides. If you are a Republican, act like it! So far our elected officials have proven to be no better than run of the mill Democrats, which is ironic being that is what we now have.

Well first of all I wouldn't call conservatives fake because one, if they were fake, they would be acting like they hate Bush like everyone else; and two, liberals are the ones that are too easily swayed and are afraid to look bad in public, and that's why they took over all the news station
Second, I actually really don't hate Bush and his policy, because all that is brought out about him is the bad things
If Kerry was running the country and had all the same issues faced him, the news would not cover any of his faults, because all of you scandulous liberals live to hate

FAke conservatives support this. Real conservative didn't care for him letting Ted Kennedy write the Education Bill, Bush's immigration plan, Harriet Miers, and a bunch of other things. WE DO suport the president's defense of this country.

the neo-cons are old dems. I think you will see a split to a third party OR a shift to the right of the dem party. I personally would support a centrist party if we could get back to small government, but for small government to work. social engineering would HAVE to stop. anybody think thats going to happen in this lifetime?

If you listened to the budget report this last week. You would know that the deficit was reduced by 49 billion over the last year. This was accomplished by cutting off welfare for those able to work and by hard working americans who paid their tax bills and a few others with theirs. Governments are not supposed to run on a surplus. During the Clinton Administration our government overtaxed its citizens (therefore the surplus), dismantled half our military (weakening our country and setting us up for 9/11) and implemented unnecessary social welfare programs that are now being eliminated.

I'll take this kind of president over one who can't keep track of his cigars or put his lap toy (Monica) away long enough to care about the administration of his country.

The true conservatives have lost their way.

All should read Conservative Republican President Eisenhower's warning about what they have become.

He gave this warning in 1961, I wish we paid attention then.
