My friends keep saying that we found WMDs in Iraq. Considering the flak GWB was taking for starting the war, I would think that he would have invited in the media when we found Saddam's stockpile, and made it so visible that not even the most left-leaning paper could have said "still hasn't found anything." So what happened?

The US Weapons Inspector back in 2004 concluded that Iraq had no stockpiles of WMD's before the invasion of Iraq. What's more, in 2005 the US gave up the search for WMD's because it was fruitless.

People get confused. The WMDs they found were not the ones we went to war over. They were old ones everyone knew he had. It was a new weapons program that was used to justify the war. And those were never found.

Your friends are idiots.

There were no WMD's. Cheney cherri picked the intelligence and presented the Congress and the UN with bullsh!t intell that he KNEW was bullsh!t.

On other words, BushCo sent us to war with a sovereign nation that posed NO threat to the United States on an intentional LIE!!!!

THAT'S what happened!

As you pointed out, Bush would have already paraded those WMD's down Pennsylvania Avenue, like a North Korea military parade.

500 weapons filled with mustard and sarin gas were found. This is considered wmd. It was reported late last spring but you won't find news like that in the NY Times or Boston Globe.
