and U2 and Green have sang together last year the song The Saints Are Coming for hurricane katrina relief

Oh goodness!!!!! U2 is definitely the best. Every song has such great meaning. I saw them in concert on the Vertigo Tour in 2005 and it changed my life, to say the least. Early in 2006 I saw Coldplay. Good show, but U2 was so much better. Currently I am pretty obsessed with U2. The complete U2, the U2 iPod, U2 By U2, all of the campaigns Bono is involved in, and much, much more. They are AMAZING! I could go on for days. You can tell they love what they are doing and they are having a good time while doing it. Their music is incredible and they are just superb. I did watch them perform with Green Day and it was good. For those of you who may disagree with me, you may have your own opinions, but U2 are definitely my absolute favorite.
Oh! And they are the top band in the world :)

U2, there's really no comparison. They are definitely the best band of the 3. You already said it, Coldplay is basically a knockoff band of U2. U2 has to be one of the best bands of both centuries. I have their first 5 c.d's and their lyrics are increadibly poetic and meaningful even today. And, their music playing is amazing. You can't beat the Edge on the guitar.

I do enjoy all of them, but U2 wins by a landslide for me. Nobody even remotely compares to them in my book, but I do own all of Coldplay's albums and they're another of my favorites. Green Day are great too though.
