Stating that he wants to "preserve your friendship" is probably just that. Suck it up and still give him a Valentines Card that comes from a friend, "you". He obviously cares about not tainting it. My best friend did that to me and I rejected him but he didn't want to lose me as a friend and we still are friends to this day.
We know now that maybe if we got involved, it may have spoiled what we have now a friendship and then we couldn't go back to being friends. He truly is a friend. If you care about him and want to keep him as a friend then dry your eyes and be just that. Maybe he's keeping you from heartache. I'm sure you'll bounce back and do what is right. rejection sucks I know but you truly don't want to feel immature tomorrow on Valentines day.

Rejection is no fun, but it is a part of life. Just act like everything is normal...hello and concentrate on class. If he wants to preservve your friendship, maybe he's just not ready to move to the next level or is inexperienced. Stay friends--you never know what might blossom!

Boys are tricky. You never know when they "Surprise you" b/c maybe when "Special Holidays" come they may have a "present" that you don't expect ;) There is a reason for Everything! What im saying now may seem like random thoughts but something good will happen TOMARROW! Good Luck! Happy Valentines Day!

That's life. It works on both sides of the border. I've been rejected many times. Have had very few girlfriends. But those that have been my girlfriends have been great - I wouldnt trade those experiences for any others. So this rejection now can only mean that better things are waiting for you.

Yeah, rejection in horrible! Just know it happens to us all. Go to school tomorrow with your head held high and a smile on your face and act confident and natural. You can cry in your room in private. If you show him your upset, it will have a negative impact. Catch him off guard and don't let him see you sad. He might wonder what he missed out on.

I think that you two work at the same office. If the case if that you two are in the same office, then i think it is case of just friends. It has happened with me as well. I like a lot of girls in my office but I dont try on them because we work together and have to stay professional.
If you are not working together, then you can talk to him directly or you can drop an email or sms about how you feel about him right now.

LOL. just know that it's not the end of the world. We all get rejected at times, but we just have to move on and try to be normal again. Just be normal and act normal when you see him like usual.

that sucks! well, at least you didn't get rejected to your face, and he does still like you...as a friend. tomorrow go to class like normal- he doesn't know that you know your friend told him you like him...so act like nothing is weird and continue being a friend to him. he may come around eventually if you keep hanging out.
it's not the end of the world- there'll be lots of boys, trust me!
