What do you guys think? Two co workers (me and another lady) worked together and got along good. Had a lot in common and went to lunch every chance we had. Talked about all things from work, job, family etc. Just like good friends. We never hung out outside of work. She's 4 years younger, married, 2 boys 10 and 13? i think. I'm married and have two girls, 4 and 9mos.
I got a new higher paying position which I had to move one floor down. She expressed sadness when I was moving to my new position. I told her we can still talk and lunch together. Turns out, of all the emails i sent about going to lunch (probably about 10) she answered 1 or 2 but then stated she couldn't make it. She doesn't answer my email, doesn't answer my phone calls. When i did see her face to face, I jokingly asked what's up , how come she doesn't answer email or take my calls. Her answer, She's too busy , forgot to open her outlook email. What a joke. Can anyone explain her behavoir?

She is probably jealous of the position you now hold. That would be my guess.

For whatever reason-she is obviously uncomfortable around you and does not want to spend time with you. I doubt that it's anything that you did.
But respect her decision (even if she is not being straightforward) and move on. Make a new friend.
I know it hurts but those are the facts.

The phrase "It's not the same" comes to mind.
Don't take it too personally.
Some people are like that, unfortunately.

probably feels degraded by your position, and moving up, and if you had tried to contact her the ball is in her court now and if she doesn't respond then you know where you stand....

I guess she doesnt like fratinizing with anyone not on her floor.
