red, blue and yellow are the primary colors of PAINT! In the real world there are no primary colors, because color is only determined by the way light reflects (or is absorbed) into our eyes. In light, rec green and blue are the primary colors. Primary colors are created in nature all the time. yellow pollen, the red in fall leaves and blood,
and blood is also blue in the lack of oxygen.

You can not make primary colors from other colors (meaning you can't use other colors of paint to make yellow, red or blue paint). They are the 'base' from which all other colors can theoretically be made (though this falls apart a bit in pratical application of mixing paint).
You CAN make your own paint though. Paint, including primary colored paints, is simpy pigment (essentially 'dirt') suspended in a medium.
Consult an instuction manual like Ralph Mayer's "The Artist's Handbook" for a step-by-step explanation of the paint-making process.

The three primary colors are red, yellow and blue, so if you separated the yellow and blue in green you would have two of them, if you separated the red and yellow in orange you would have two of them as well. there are no other colors you can mix to "make" them; that's why they are called the primary colors, because it is from them that all other colors come.
