They might well help, but it's not a guarantee. They kind of overcome your body's normal hormonal surges that are what make you sick, and because they don't allow you to have real periods (you will still have monthly bleeding with most pills, but it's caused by hormone withdrawal) you tend to have lighter flow and less pain.

Personally I'd give it a try: if you don't like them, you can always stop taking them. And taking the pill, even at a young age, is not an indicator that you are some sort of immoral person. Lots of women take it for the reasons you mention, or to help clear their skin up.

Why aren't you keen on taking birth control pills?

If your period is disrupting your life that much, then I would go on birth control. It will help regulate your period and make it less painful.

Only you can say whether or not it's worth it. If you can deal with being sick one day a month and know for sure that you won't be sexually active anytime soon, then don't take it.

The choice is yours.

Ask if the physician can transfer you to Loestrin. I additionally can not take steady beginning manage capsules, however I am additionally now not looking to avoid being pregnant both. Loestrin isn't as amazing as steady dose BCP, however just a crisis in the event you surely do not desire to get pregnant. On the opposite hand, I did have issues with sore breasts for like the primary three months I took them. Then it went away.
