Does anyone know why his father didn't the death blow he needed to kill him. See I just don't understand that

I don't understand why he could of give that one death blow. But he saved him for InuYasha and the demon cause the wound that killed him

I kind of think he was in a hurry to get back to Inuyasha and his mother,( Watch the 3rd Movie) to really make the final blow.

Thats a great question. I'm not sure why he didn't kill Ryuukotsusei. I believe that was his fathers final battle and used up all of his strength but I could be wrong.

maybe because he wanted to save some of his energy to protect inuyasha and inuyashas momma
