i enter the cd in drive and it appears on itunes but when i try to drag the song over to my ipod it has a circle with a slash in it it as in u cant do that. did i forget a step? what else do i have to do to work.

First u need to import the cd into itunes by dragging it into the library. Then you'll be able to drag it into ur ipod.

You need to import the CD songs to iTunes first. After that you can load them on the iPod.

you cannot just and drop it

You have to rip them first
rp them into a folder
Once ripped, - add the folder to your Itunes
then synch the ipod

then all those songs will appear in Ipod

do you mean audio cd for your cd.. ipod need to convert it first into mp3 file first..
Try to rip your cd to mp3 files, than copy it with itunes.

1st copy your cd to hard driver, then tranf hard drive to itunes, easy
