A good teen read is the series from Meg Cabot "The Princess Diaries"
Some peopl may think from the title that it's for 10 year olds but it's a good read for teenagers

I'd recomend Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie Meyer-they're both very good, a bit romantic, but still good. I'd also recomend The Boyfriend List-I forget the author, but it was ok-not really my type of book though. Sarah Dessen is a great author too-I can't remember any of her titles though-I haven't read her in a few years. If you like Eragon, or any fantasy, I'd try any of Tamora Pierce's books-her first series, "Song of the Lioness" is about a female knight in an alternate universe. (It sounds weird, but it's good). Herbie Brennan's Faerie Wars series is also good. Tithe and Valiant by Holly Black are good as well. Lastly, Diane Duane is an awesome author-her Young Wizards series is very good. Hope this helps!

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan is a very music based story of two people who meet in a NYC club. There is a lot of swearing so I wouldn't suggest it if you are easily offended but it is still a very good story.

Try a book from the Redwall series by Brian Jacques. Its kinda childish but I always enjoyed them.

I would get the first one of Carlos Casteneda's books. If you like it, there is a whole series of books tha follow it.
They are very exciting and hard to tell if they are true life or fiction.
No one really knows to this day.
