Im led to believe that in parts of the deep south, there is serious racism and homophobia. I think those red necks were serious with their threats!

yes i did and no its not!(not from my expierances anyway.i have family all over the states and have travelled all over the country(new york, florida, nevada, california etc etc).now lets get one thing clear.i love top gear, have watched it for years.i find it funny and informative,as well as very entertaining.it seems though that lately, jezzer and the boys are pushing the limits a tad too much.i mean, yeah,it was funny for the most part on sunday until mr clarkson started harping on about how ruff+dangerous it is in the u.s..(he wasnt slating them when he was making lots of money driving their muscle cars around in one of his spin off programmes now was he??)it might be a rough in places in the states in places but where isnt it this day and age anywhere?everywhere has its 'hotspots'so to speak.that doesnt mean you have the right to go round talkin about 'murderers'etc! like i say, jezz has made a heck of a lot of money through the states and to me it seemed a bit out of order.another thing that i asnt quite comfortable with was the bit where he turned up at camp with a cow on his roof.im not an animal rights person or anything but i did find it a bit uncomfortable watching him reverse his car to make the poor thing roll off his roof.some peapole watching that must have been goin bananas? i think in general that jezzer and co need to calm down a bit and get back to what they do best, which is driving cars and talking about them. just to sum up,america tho is a wonderfull place with loads to do and loads to see.i love it and the service ive had everywhere ive been has been fantastic.we shud take many lessons from the u.s and put them into action here(in sum places)and jez needs to come down a peg or two!

Loved Sunday's Top Gear, I think that it is probably a true reflection of the Deep South and the rednecks. But I am sure that if they had wanted to they could have shown some of the favourable aspects of the people. Vote Hilary and I am Bi were funny, loved the road kill competion too

Top Gear; didn't that used to be about cars? Last week's show was about 3 'lads' having the crack, and it was anything but entertaining. The sight of that poor cow thumping to the ground made me wince. As for Clarkson... where does he get off at having a go at the Americans by calling them fat and stupid... that's great coming from a guy whose gut hangs over his belt and he can't even put a petrol can together. Clarkson's display of racist ignorance was pathetic. I'm surprised the BBC aired this show. Is it now ok to be racist so long as it is towards Americans?

My mother spent a decade out there, she says that was a true representation of what the deep South of the USA is like.

isn't it pathetic that in this day and age people get worked up over a bit of writing!!! it was a joke and they needed to realise that, instead they flew off the handle and went out of their way to hurt the crew! to be honest it made me angry as the Brits do alot for America and that's the way they treat us. total idiots!
