My grandfather has decided its time for him to consider getting a cell phone (apparently they are going to be doing away with pay phones!). I've been trying to figure out what the best company for him would be. He has a landline so he doesn't need thousands of minutes. However, I live out of town and so does one of his sons & we are both on Verizon. But I just want to make sure he has reliable service where-ever he is in case of emergencies. What about phones? He likes high-tech but in reality he doesn't know how to use all those features. He doesn't need an MP3 player or navigation or anything. What about pre-pay companies? If you have suggestions from experience with companies or phones I appreciate the help! Thanks!

Another possiblility is to put him on your plan...as long as he doesn't use a ton of minutes it makes sense...an extra phone on your line is usually fairly cheap with a family plan

Hello! You should check out the following URL:

http://www.cellularonlinestore.com

This is my website and I am very happy to help your Grandfather find what he is looking for. My name is Laura and you can email me through the site and I am very responsive to all emails.
We carry all the major carriers including pre-paid no contract phone plans and we have most of the latest phones for free with a new plan. For the pre-paid phones, you can't get a free phone but the least technical full-featured phones will be the lowest cost, like $19.99 and then he would just pay as he goes with using the phone. Ideally you may want to consider Verizon since you and his son are on Verizon and that way you can do mobile to mobile for free between all of you without using any minutes. But Cingular may have one of the better service coverages and least amount of dropped calls. T-Mobile has some of the lower rates though and you can do any of the carriers and phones through the www.CellularOnlineStore.com. If you click on the Order By Phone option and give the call code when calling the Toll Free number, they will even help you place the order over the phone and they can probably advise you on which is the least technical phones and the least expensive plans for what you are looking for. I hope I have helped and please feel free to email me with any questions. I provide excellent customer service and I hope I can help you get what you need.

Theres a compnay called Jitterbug that caters specically to that demographic (old people). They only sell 2 phones, they both are the same model, but one has a full numerical keypad and the other only has Emergency and 2 assignable buttons. However, if he likes high tech, he might not like it because they look a little like toilets and they virutally have no features, which is why they are made for old people (they have very large text and a very simple UI).

For verizon, I recommend the V325i. Its a great simple phone, but it includes a VGA camera which your grandfather will like.

i think the best bet would be a pre-pay phone and get him a phone with a large keypad and a large screen because the text is so small on most phones

If it is just for emergancys, get pay as you go phone. he could put 20 bucks on it and it would take him like 3 months to use it all up. that would be the smartest and cheapest way to do it. they have em at 711 or best buy for like 30 bucks. they work pretty nice. my grandpa did it.

i dont know about what company to choose for him to use but i would suggest getting a nokia mobile as they are the simplest phones to use. If your looking to get one which isn't an expensive one with gadgets i would suggest the nokia 3310, you can probably pick it up for about 20 quid online or in computer exchange

Being with T-cellular, you ought to get a black razor. it truly is worry-free yet it does plenty. it truly is for listening to impared. If he has a listening to aide, it gained't buzz if he's in this telephone. It has extremely huge numbers and it truly is worry-free to operate and not in any respect exspensive.
