I just started being better makeup a few months ago....before that it was always Walmart stuff and now I am much happier.
We just had a Sephora open up close to us and now I love that place. The first person who posted put up the link for you. When you enter that store it's quite overwhelming. LOL They carry a lot of different companies there and a couple of the companies that I love to buy from is CARGO and BOURJOIS. And of course their own products (Sephora) They also have Christian Dior which I love.
MAC is great too....I love their mascara!
TIP: If you find something you really like on the websites...check ebay first. I buy a lot of my good makeup from ebay at half the price or less.
I love the 3D Effect lip gloss from Bourgois and I believe they're around $16 each. On ebay I found 4 for $18....They were all brand new never opened and I was really happy with my purchase. There are a lot of people who sell from England...I think they have a Sephora on every corner there. LOL

Try The Body Shop. I have found that the natural ingredients they use are better for my skin. And, they look really natural, not heavily made up. You can look at my website below to search all the different products.

I also really like Laura Mercier make-up. It is quite a bit more expensive but totally worth it when it comes to things like cake eyeliner and brushes. I really like their eye products period. If you go to your local mall and find a Laura Mercier counter, ask the sales associate to give you a lesson on applying some of their products. I think it is application technique that makes the face, not necessarily the make-up.
Hope this helps!

The best place to look for makeup would be Sephora. They carry many different brands of makeup, along with fragrance, hair care, skin care, and even some cute makeup bags. If there isn't a store close to you, check out www.sephora.com to browse through their selection. I am personally a huge fan of Benefit. Good luck!

I LOVE BareEscentuals. You can find it lots of places. Gunthy-Renker (paid infomercials on Saturday mornings), QVC, and of course they have a website to order direct. It is a loose mineral makeup. Not "cheap" and gives good coverage-no chemicals which I like. Bare Minerals-Bare Escentuals. Another brand is Sheer coverage. I see Avon is offering a loose mineal make-up now, as well as Cover Girl. A friend of mine swears by Este Lauder. Also on QVC & HSN - Various lines. Shop smart & try 'em "on sale" until you find the one you really like.

Departments stores ( Lancome, Clinique) and QVC also carry brands with good reputations. make sure they will let you try or return the product if they don't work or look the way you expect.

When I need make-up I go into-beatties or boots. They do counters full of the stuff. There are also make-up artists who stand at the counters they give out advice and find the product that is best for you. They also do a make-over session. Hope it helps x

Try MAC products....I did a few months ago and I am hooked! I have been impressed with EVERY single product I have ever tried. They have a slogan: "once you go MAC, you never go back!" It's true, I'm now a loyal MAC customer.
