how often i should put it on the dock to charge. I use my computer every day and I am on it frequently throughout the day. Should I put it on the charger every night or should I just wait until the battery runs out? I just bought it and started using it the other day for the first time and the battery level option said that I have 15 days left of use and it only lasted about 4-5 days. Should I turn the power off on the back of the mouse? How do you charge your mouse? How often?

There is a general theory that with rechargable batteries you should totally drain them the first few times (3) before you charge them. After that you can recharge them whenever it seems necessary. Since this advice was given to me in tech docs that came with my cordless phone and cell phone years ago I have faithfully kept to the theory. I've never seen any scientific reasons for this practice though.

I have the logitech VX Revolution wireless. It uses a single AA battery.
I went and bought a Duracell recharger unit and a four pack of rechargeable batteries and just keep them ready to change out when the one in my mouse gets weak.
It's not a good idea to continually recharge your batteries without allowing them to drain down. By not allowing them to discharge fully through usage, the batteries will develop a shorter and shorter memory span, requiring more frequent charging episodes until they will no longer hold a charge.
A good set of rechargeable batteries should last you at least a year. My last set lasted over two years.
As to turning off the power on the back off your mouse, this is done automatically when you insert the USB receiver into the receptacle slot, provided for easy storage, at the rear of your mouse.
Hope this answers your questions.

Usually if you run your battery out before you charge it the battery will last longer, but I dont think it really makes enough of a difference to worry about it that much. Just charge it every other night.

You mouse has a battery status indicator, put it in the cradle to recharge when the indicator starts to get low. When mine shows it is getting low, I put it in the cradle before I go to work or go to bed. If it is sufficiently charged, it is ok leave it on the mousepad as it goes into a standby mode when it is not being used. You only need to use the switch on the back if you plan to take your mouse to a party and show off to your friends.

MIGHT MOUSE! I have one for all my mac computers including lap tops. Very nice, small, simple, and love the 360 scroll ball. A little expensive but all mac products are, but are also very reliable.
