My last menstration was just before christmas, but at that time I was approching not having my period for 2 months. But like I said I got my period so I didn't worry. Now its happening again we are in the middle of febuary and still nothing. I am a virgin so there is no chance of pregnancy and I am also not on birth control. To make things worse I have no health insurance and the college that I go to dose not have a student clinc. How worried should I be?

This is quite normal if you just started having your period . my periods came after 2 months when they first started. Then I had my periods 3 times in two months.
I suppose that you should go see a doctor anyway, just in case. I didn't have to because my mom's a doctor and she told me that in the first 2 years, your period is often irregular.

First, calm down. Probably no problem at all. Now you mentioned college, so say 19. Is this the first...or second time with months between periods? If not, then normal for you. If it is, I would ask, are you working out lots more then normal? An increase in physical activity...a lot, will cause the body to not have a normal period. Also, very thin can be an issue. If the body feels it is too thin, no period for a while. Now, if none of these are the case, I would lean toward a medical condition. Any pain involved? Anything out of the norm for the last four months...extreme diet change, energy level, working out hard, etc. Major changes will cause body issues like this. Lastly, look in phone book for clinics in area. There has to be something. Last choice, find a friend or staff member to help. Hope this helps.

It depends on how your schedule has usually been, and if this is very unusual, or if you have been irregular over the past many years. If you are very overweight, that can mess with your schedule, or if you stop exercising as much as before, or start exercising a lot all at once. Are you depressed? Are you stressed with your workload at college? I'm assuming you aren't old enough to be menopausal. If you haven't been to the doctor recently, now's a good time. It shouldnt' be too expensive if you find a women's health clinic or see a nurse practicioner instead of an M.D.

you need to go to the obgyn im the same way to i always skip a month every other month even when i was a virgin but didn't worried until i had my second child just this january i did not get it im 24 but i made an appointment for a check up thell just give you birth control pills to make it regular i never take them but last year i had too for 3 months so i can get regular but now its back to skipping

well as for insurance if you go to a clinic they should give you a temp medical called PE good for a month they should transfer you to a social worker to get medical if you qualify well good luck

or try going to kaiser it's expensive but good that's what i have

also alot of people are not normal for being over weight or too much stress

the best thing you could do is go to the obgyn

I went for a year and a half with no period... turns out the medication I was taking was affecting my menstral cycle... I stopped taking it and boy did I pay for it... I guess my period was trying to play catch up and I bled for 2 months straight... I think it's finally regulated itself but it was very weird and annoying... I wouldn't be to worried about it... could just be your body changing or stress...

So you shouldn't be worried. Every woman goes through irregular periods---especially the first 5 years you have them.

If you are really concerned, then you should see your gynecologist. If you don't have one, it's time to get one. Talk to your mother about this.

You are probably under stress so at this time just relax and chalk it up to stress of college so long as the periods you do get are ok.
