Yes, founded in around 650AD in the tribal nation of Arabia, not changed since, = backward, tribal and from a Medieval period. Islam was enlightened for it's time and at it's very essence is a positive doctrine, however most interpretations of it are backward, tribal and medieval.

No , its paradoxically perverse, many of the practising seem to want to subvert western culture whilst using the benefits it provides.
