Here's the best demostration you can get. They both had to face the Detriot Pistons superior defense THREW OUT A SERIES(not 1 game). Who performed better? That's the answer:
Kobe: at age 25, 04 NBA Finals, 8th year in the NBA, Coach Phil, Kobe stats v.s. Detroit
22.6 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 4.4 asp 38.1 FG%, .174 3p%, 3.60 TO/ Detroit wins 4-1,
Wade: at age 23, 05 East Finals, 2nd year rookie, Coach Stan, Wade stats v.s. Detroit
25.8 ppg, 4.50 rpg, 4.3 asp, 44.0 FG%, .00 3p% 2.83% TO / Detroit wins 4-3,
Wade: at age 24, 06 East Finals, 3rd year in the NBA, Coach Riley, Wade stats v.s. Detroit
26.7 ppg, 5.20 rpg, 5.5 asp, 61.7 FG%, .250 3p%, 4.67% TO / Heat wins 6-2,
Kobe had a better coach & overall team, he had a younger Shaq & Gary, he was 25, he had more nba experience(8th year), but as you can see, Wade had a better series. Wade #'s were higher but he played with an injury(05) & flu(06). Detroit even said Wade was the hardest player they've faced, but easily stopping Kobe(38.1 FG%)

So I guess longevity doesn't mean anything nowadays. Who cares what the Pistons said. Kobe Bryant has 3 rings. Dwayne Wade will not get another ring this year and once Shaq retires, the Heat will become just another team even with Dwayne Wade. Kobe is proven. Wade just got here. You have to give it time. Right now he is not better than Kobe Bryant. If you put D-Wade out west on the Lakers, they would not be the 6th place team in the western conference. Right now Kobe is the best player in the NBA. And while your rattling on about the Pistons, we all know that the team Kobe faced and the team Wade faced were not the same. The Pistons struggled in the playoffs from the start last year needing 7 games to get rid of Cleveland. So while they may have had the same roster, they were not playing at the same level of the year before.

I think Wade is better overall. He's a better team player and, just like Kobe, can take over a game if needed. I just think that when Wade takes over a game, his teammates are more important and get more play than when Kobe does the same. I do believe Kobe is one hell of a player, I just think Wade is slightly better. Either way, they're both about the same size and will both posterize you.

Ok first of all the Lakers was playing hurt during the Playoffs. Gary was still old but didn't score as much, Karl Malone was injured and Shaq I believe was hurt.

And plus the Miami Heat had a better supporting cast and a better bench than the Lakers did.

When you have a Shaq in your team you'll always have a chance to win it all. Lets wait when Shaq retires, then we'll see who wins more Championships. Kobe Bryant has atleast 6-7 years left in him.

Wade because no one could guard him and he doesnt have a good supporting cast compared to Kobe. You could shut down Kobe just by putting Bruce Bowen or Trenton Hassell in front of him so Wade is better and Wade has more skill

kobe doesn't shoot 20 ft's a game in the playoffs.

also the 2004 nba finals, larry brown decided to play a single man coverage on shaq but decided to double team Kobe aggresively.

no one double teams wade because they are afraid of getting a foul called for looking at him.

I say Wade too.
Look at their career playoff stats:

Wade 25.4 ppg, 6.0 apg, 5.1 rpg
Kobe: 22.9 ppg, 4.5 asg, 4.9 rpg

And look at this seasons stats:

Wade: 28.7 ppg, 7.9 asp, 4.9 rbp, 2.1 spg, 1.3 bpg, 49.2 FG%
Kobe: 28.6 ppg, 5.5 asp, 5.6 rbp, 1.4 spg, 0.4 bpg, 46.9 FG%,

Wade stats are a little better and Wade performs on a higher level come playoff time. So I have to say Wade is better.

can' t really say who's better by stats, because Martin Luther King and Malcolm x both have the same agenda. Respect for ourselves and fellow man ina nut shell. Who can tell two diff. men from two diff. backgrounds whos better in their tactics, as long as they get their such as Kob and Dwayn did winning the finals might I add a very a very big force on the court.SSSSHHAAQ!!!!!!! but iI really like Mr. Wades public perspective
