1) Go to My Computer
2) Right-click the main hard drive.
3) Click on Properties.
4) Then click on Disk Clean-up.
5) Wait for the computer to search for deletable files.
6) Then select the files you don't want anymore. Compress old files will be on the list.
7) Click OK and then click OK on the warning promt (if it comes) and then your done!

you can just delete them if you know what they are or let disk clean up do it for you.

go to start/all programs/accessories/system tools/disk clean up. choose drive C: or whatever your default drive is and run the tool. At some point you will be given a list of files that you can opt to have deleted. The compressed old files will be one of those options just be sure to check the box and then proceed.

right click the file and click delete on that menu that comes up. Then it will be in your recycle bin. Once you empty your recycle bin those files will never be able to be retrieved. Good luck .

go into help and support on your computer and defragment your files and this will remove them.
