I'm struggling with this topic and have to write a deconstruction on the story. I understand the concept, but I'm having trouble applying it to this specific story. Any examples, explanations etc. would be appreciated.

Well, the pig depends on the spider to save his life. The spider depends on the pig to protect her egg. The pig depends on the other animals for his leftover slops, the rat depends on the other animals for his food too. Is that what you mean by interconnections?
