I think if a person were to use roman numerals I think that they're trying to make the story look interesting and eye catching because if you think about it there aren't allot of books with roman numeral chapters, so I think that's unique. It's not snobbish at all, it's different and interesting than 1/one or 2/two. I think a chapter with just numbers is simple but interesting especially if the book was about an assassin or spy. I think it says that the chapter speaks for itself not the number. I think even naming the chapter would be even better because tit's creative. BQ: I decide on what the genre is and what would fit best with my story. when I write a story in a different era or year I usually would change the font to make it match. I think that the chapter style should match up with the books plot. If my story was simple i would stick with the numbers, but it's all about what you feel is right and what you think is best for your story. Great question to ask.
