Okay, so I started scant spotting today. If it doesn't get to be bright red until tomorrow, which do I consider my first day of my cycle?

If its red spotting, you can count today as day 1. But if it is brownish or faint red all day, count tomorrow as day 1. Kinda depends on what your normal luteal phase is.

Tomorrow. You want to start CD1 on the first day of bright red bleeding, not just spotting. Good Luck with TTC!

Spotting is not considered the first day of your period. When you are actually bleeding, that is your first day.
