What is truly stupid about the above is that Woman wasn't even created when God warned Adam not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil. Also, there is no hint that either God or Man told the woman, Eve, that the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil should not be eaten. Neither is their any warning to the woman about the words of a serpent when she had no knowledge of Good & Evil, so she could not judge the words of the Serpent. Then, God punishes her to a greater extent than Adam.

This situation would not stand the judgement of any jury in the country if put into a modern context. Don't you agree?

Not that it should matter, but, I am a Pagan. Specifically, I am an Elder and librarian of the Lore and The Bible I use is the Oxford Study Bible.

For those who haven't figured it out, Bibles vary depending on Various Christian sects needs.

Your first argument is not valid. Just because it doesnt say God told her dosnt mean he didnt.

Your next argument is valid. I have thought about that many times.

Your right. It wouldnt hold under court.

I see stupid people daily, but I can not figure out the people who turned in the Bulldog I rescued at the pound. They brought all her paper work shots and everything. The pound gave me all her info, because she was fixed so I couldn't have bred her if I wanted too. Which I didn't. Bulldogs would be way to much work to breed, and I don't want to breed any dogs. Anyways she was all white AKC registered, and had been sold on a full registration with a pedigree. I am assuming the breeders thought she maybe show/breeding quality, and they had paid $3500 for her. That is a lot of money for a dog. They also got her shots, but that was it. They turned her in, because they left her in their laundry room all day and were mad she was eating the dry wall. What do you expect they like to chew anyways, and they get lonely, bored, and depressed without their owners. We got her and crate trained her, bought her some toys, and enrolled her in obedience classes. I had that dog for many years till she died. The whole time I had she chewed up one barbie the first week I had her. She never chewed anything else, and she was a great dog. I cannot believe what they paid, and then threw to the side, because they could not be bothered to train her or spend time with her. It really is sad.

Read it more carefully. Eve did know. She conversed with the serpent, telling him that she knew it was wrong. Her husband also knew it was wrong.

Before denouncing the Scriptures, you should know that they are SACRED. They have lasted since long before you were thought of. And you (like all humans) are passing and will be forgotten some day. But God's word stands forever, and will still have the power to chance lives a thousand+ years from now. Dont doubt the scriptures, just question your understanding. And ask God to help you see it as He meant for you to.

There is nothing mythical about the Holy Bible. The Forefathers of America trusted this and founded America of the principles ( and truths) of God's word.

I would really encourage you to find a church (link below) and ask the pastor you find there all the questions you want. Time spent discovering life changing truth is not time wasted. Please, read the scriptures more carefully. Click on the link below.

God Bless You!

Woman was judged harshly and is still being judged. Adam was the keeper of the garden he knew what fruit every tree brought forth Eve did not. In a court of law today Eve would be charged with aiding and abetting Adam.

There are verses that state that Eve knew that the tree's fruit was forbidden. The Verses below are from NIV, but I included both NIV and King James in the source box.

Genesis 3
The Fall of Man
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"

2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,

3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "

***Since she told the serpent herself that the tree was forbidden, that proves that she knew and had been told. The reason that she was punished more than Adam was because it was her that tempted Adam to eat of the tree also.

ANOTHER point. Adam DID eat the fruit. Some of you say he did not eat it because he knew better, but this is not true.

NIV VERSION
--------------------

Genesis 3

6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and HE ATE IT.
7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

**He knew better, God told him not to eat from the tree himself. However, he was tempted by Eve to eat it, but the fact remains that he did eat it himself, and was, therefore, cast out of Eden along with Eve. It was Eve that temped Adam, so she got worse punishment, but Adam did eat the fruit. He fell under the temptation of Eve.

THIS is what you find stupid about the Garden of Eden story?

How about talking serpents and man from dirt and turning a rib into a woman and then two people populating the entire planet?

The fact that the real message is God Hates Women. I mean why doesn't Adam eat the apple ? Maybe that's why no one told Eve that she couldn't eat the fruit. But God told Adam and that's why he didn't.

The serpent in the fairy tale was actually offering Eve knowledge not sex as the bible would first like you to believe
further on in the bible it yet again contradicts itself and tells you this

There are two or three different creation stories in Genesis, all based on different Fertile Cresent myths.

1). The Gods and Goddesses, the Hebrew word Elohim, create the world in accordance to the Mesopetamian structure.
http://www.meta-religion.com/World_Religions/Ancient_religions/Mesopotamia/genesis_and_enuma_elish_creation.htm
"One of the two Bible creation myths was probably derived from the much older Mesopotamian creation myth "Enuma Elish".

The six days of creation in the Genesis myth parallel the six generations of gods in the Enuma Elish myth in type of god in Enuma Elish that is created (i.e. god of the earth) to what is created or happens on the corresponding day in Genesis (i.e. the waters are gathered together to expose dry land).

Marduk the sixth generation god makes man as a slave so the other gods can rest."

2) The Elohim create women and men together.

3)The rogue God Yahweh creates his own version of a garden, with Adameth (Bloody Clay) and Lilith. She takes off after refusing to put up with Adam's lording. "Why should I lie beneath you?" She turns into a dragon and flies off to the Red Sea. Even Yahweh angels can't manage to bring her back. Then Yahweh creates a second wife, created from his rib, to be more pliant and obediant to him.

Eve, or Hevah, the Hittite Mother of All, is now pliant and decorative. Her totem Serpent is still present, and still advising Her wisely. It is he who tells Her the truth about the trees, and She makes her choice. In fact, She makes the choice for her whole family and all the generations who come after, as good mothers do. It wouldn't even have mattered if Adam hadn't eaten. It is Her who proigates the race.

So now the slaves, or adorments, are punted from the garden by the bully, and cursed to boot, punishing them for his own mistakes.

"Yahweh himself admits that he had lied! In fact, and in Yahweh's own words, the Serpent spoke the absolute truth! And moreover, Yahweh tells the rest of the Pantheon that he intends to evict Adam (and presumably Eve as well) to keep them from gaining immortality to go with their newly-acquired divine knowledge. To prevent them, in other words, from truly becoming gods! So who, in this story, comes off as a benefactor of humanity, and who comes off as a tyrant? THE SERPENT NEVER LIED! "
