Q: How soon after ovulation can I test?

A: The earliest you can get a positive result on the most sensitive pregnancy tests is seven days after ovulation. Implantation needs to occur before hCG is produced, and that generally happens between 6-12 days post ovulation, usually by 10 days after. For this reason, it makes economical sense to wait until 10-12 days after ovulation, but even then a significant percentage of women who are indeed pregnant will still show a negative result. If you have not had an hCG injection (common in fertility treatment, brands include Profasi, Pregnyl and Novarel), you can believe the positive, but you might get a false negative. If your period is late, test again. Your hCG levels should double every 2-3 days and many people won't have a positive HPT until the first day of a missed period or even a few days later.

In all of my pregnancies, 3 including twins, I never had any symptoms so early. The most you would be is 3 wks or so and it sounds more like PMS. Wait at least 2 weeks after your missed period to test.

No you may test now however you may get a false negative. However, I would wait at least another week. Sorry to tell you the symptoms can be wishful thinking especially if you are trying to concieve. If you convince your self that you are pregnant it can hurt worse to find out that you are not. Believe me, I speak from experience. I have a 18 year old, always wanted another but I guess I should think myself lucky I was never supposed to be able to have any. Just don't set yourself up for alot of tears. Wait and see. Try not to think about it. But if this is what you want I will cross my fingers for you and hope all turns out as it should.

It could just be severe pms. I get it about once or twice a year, generally when I spend too much time around my mother and sisters. But no, its not too early to test. If you think you could be pregnant because you were trying or you just did two weeks ago, then you can take ept 4 days early. It is better/more accurate if you wait another day or two.
Best wishes!

Might be early to test, but this happened with my last baby. I just woke up feeling just like what you describe 5 days before my period was due. I took a test just out of curiosity. I never expected to get a positive at that point, but I did. It was faint, but definatly positive. It's really up to you. If you are just dying to know then go ahead and take a test.

Sounds like it could be PMS to me.

You are scheduled for you period in 4 days. If you don't get it by day 9, take a test.

Could be pregnancy symptoms, but it could also be PMS symptoms. Wait until you have a missed period to worry about testing.

Yeah that sounds like it, you may not have all the symptoms like nausea and other things but I think you should wait a couple more weeks before you test.
