It isn't as easy as just saying "Tomas Vokoun" anymore unfortunately for him - but fortunately for Predators fans, they have two incredbily good goalies.

Tomas Vokoun hasn't quite been the same since returning from his finger situation, and this could end up looking more like a job share than a bona fide starter in the net. Already, they've split the past 15 games pretty much right down the middle and Mason has the highest save percentage in the NHL. A great link that describes the wonderful dilemma that coach Barry Trotz finds himself in is here (from fantasydope.com):

Suffice it to say that both are good goalies. Neither is a clear cut number 1. At this point anyway.

I wouldn't consider either of the 2 the starting goalie. They both start and split it but I think Vokoun has started more often.

In good words, It's Tomas Vokoun. But I would say that Chris Mason is getting better every game when he starts. It depends who is who, like when Tomas was out, Chris Mason started for him for a few games until Vokoun came back.

i don't follow the preds. but i follow the goalies and i've seen chris mason's save percentage either first or second on the list...now i'm not sure if he's the starter or just played reallly well the few times he's played but i'd say it mason

Mason has played more than Vokoun this season due to injury. They both have played well this season, but by default - Vokoun is the starter.

Aren't they one of the only teams to be using a tandem goalie system? Therefore it depends on the game.
