Def Leppard - Animal
Album Hysteria, 1987
A wild ride, over stony ground
Such a lust for life, the circus comes to town
We are the hungry ones, on a lightning raid
Just like a river runs, like a fire needs flame
I burn for you
I gotta feel it in my blood
Oh whoa
I need your touch don't need your love
Oh whoa
And I want
And I need
And I lust
Animal
And I want
And I need
And I lust
Animal
I cry wolf, given mouth to mouth
Like a movin' heartbeat in the witching hour
I'm runnin' with the wind, a shadow in the dust
And like the drivin' rain
Yeah
Like the restless rust
I never sleep
I gotta feel it in my blood
Oh whoa
I need your touch don't need your love
Oh whoa
And I want
And I need
And I lust
Animal
And I want
And I need
And I lust
Animal
Huh!
Ah!
Cry wolf baby
Cry tough
Gonna hunt you like an, an, an, an, an, animal
Gonna take your love 'n' run
I gotta feel it in my blood
Oh whoa
I need your touch don't need your love
Oh whoa
And I want
And I need
And I lust
Animal
And I want
And I need
And I lust
Animal
And I want
(And I want)
And I need
(And I need)
And I lust
(And I lust)
Animal
(Animal)
And I want
(Take me)
And I need
(Tame me)
And I lust
(Make me your...)
Animal (Animal)
And I want
(Show me)
And I need
(Stroke me)
And I lust
(Let me be your...)
Animal
(Animal)
And I want
(I want)
And I need
(Ooh)
And I lust
(Yeah)
Animal
(Oh!)
Heh! heh!

I can't really agree with you. While I agree that Zeppelin is a fantastic band, your generalization of Pink Floyd's career is kind of off. Zeppelin pretty much stuck to their roots, had some acoustic material, but was mostly hard rock. Pink Floyd were psychedelic, jazzy, progressive, spacey, hard rock, pop, definitely had a more far-reaching influence across several genres. 1. I've never once felt the desire to "need" drugs to enjoy Pink Floyd, it's just good music. Several of Floyd's songs are "rock"-oriented: Nile Song Fearless One of These Days Dogs Interstellar Overdrive Have a Cigar Pigs In the Flesh Young Lust 2. While I agree that Jones is better than Waters at bass, and Bonham better than Mason, I can't say that Jones is even close to Rick Wright's keyboard skill, just listen to Echoes, and compare that to say Trampled Under Foot. Page is about on par with Gilmour, but on a given day, one could be better than the other. 3. Like I said above, Zeppelin always stuck to their heavy, blues-based rock roots. They definitely flirted with other styles, but not nearly as much as Floyd. Try listening to something by Floyd besides Dark Side and The Wall, then you'll see what I mean.
