Mel Kiper has just reported on ESPNews that he is so devestated by the firing of Marty Schottenheimer that he in turn now is demanding a trade to the Patriots.. GM AJ Smith has given him permission to orchestrate a trade with the Patriots within a 72-hour window.. This should also put the rest of any bad blood between Belichick and Tomlinson.. What would it take the Patriots to get LT?? Maroney and OLB Tully-Banta Cain would be a start..

STOP LYING!!!!
1) LT would never do that and even if he did, AJ Smith would not let his franchise player and the league MVP have 72 hours to negotiate a deal.
2) Mel Kiper Jr covers COLLEGE you moron. And the only thing he's been writing about all month is the upcoming draft. That's what he does for ESPN.
3) What would it take? A friggin miracle.
4) 6 days ago, you said TO was trying to get traded to New England.

ATTENTION ANSWERERS. Below I have posted Murdocks past 4 questions asked. I think you'll see why I say he's full of Sh#t.

Murdoch, let give you a little lesson on the Patroits. They have a good running game already. They need receivers, not another back. And Robert Kraft won't loosen the purse strings for anyone. It's a bad trade.

LT would be a good addition to theirs or any other team.
However, it would be a waste for him to go to NE. They are getting older and NOT better.
His best bet is to stay with San Diego.
Hopefully, the coaching changes will take advantage of all that talent on O; shore up the D secondary and take them to the Super Bowl.

this trade will not happen the chargers will slap the franchise tag on LT and if he doesn't want to play for the chargers then i would make him sit out and see what that does for his career, how many running backs have you heard of coming back after not playing for a year and doing as well as they did before they sat out,who in the world does he think he is anyway

The Patriots' franchise is too cheap to get LT. Robert Kraft "hates" super stars. That franchise's GM is the best of the best, they "create" super stars for themselves, they don't "acquire" super stars.

...and honestly, the Patriots don't have much to offer to the Chargers or any other team. Troy Brown? the guy is too old. Maroney? uhmm...LT>Maroney :) Brady? the only way Brady will leave the Patriots is if he can take Belichick with him. Asante Samuel? they have Shawn Merriman

Well I will give a serious answer, to your serious bullshit question Murdock. If the Patriots were to trade for LT, I would say Maroney, an outside linebacker, Tom Brady, and 2008, 2009, 2010 first round draft picks.

One, I never believe what it says on ESPN.

Two, I never believe what Mel Kiper says.

(Pioli to Giants, anyone?)

I can't see the Patriots trading any LBs right now even for God and the Holy Spirit. (No Jesus, No deal.:))

Yeah...was that ESPN in the Twilight Zone or something? LT isn't that kind of a person to begin with....nice try though.
