Some forms of hypnosis and self hypnosis after relaxing usually have the person identify what color they would attribute to there pain. People give different answers as suggested by the answers that have been written.
After identifying the color of pain, the person is asked or the idea is suggested to what color would the area be without pain. Relaxation techniques and triggers are then used to try to help the person better deal with the pain.
So I guess the answer is pain there is no right or wrong color for pain. It does not have associations like "green with envy"

I think that the color of pain would differ depending upon who you asked. I think that there are several colors for pain.
1.) Red: reminds me of blood, anger, desperation, energy, and of course pain because its very easy color to use when describing an emotion.
2.) Black: reminds me of bruises, getting in trouble, what you see before you black out which sometimes causes pain, and evil which always causes pain whether physicaly or emotionaly or mentaly
3.) Blue: reminds me of getting hurt (bruises)
there are of course my personal opinion but they may be acurate, like I said it all depends upon who you ask. It also depends upon the type of pain: mentaly, physicaly, or emotionaly
3.) Blue: because it

I bit into a Butterscotch Krimpet and the sugary icing hit my filling the wrong way.

A white metal pain shot through the side of my head.

I overdid it at the gym this morning...butt and thighs and triceps. My muscles are feeling pretty red.

Depends on the "kind" of pain. Jealousy is green, being a coward is yellow, white could symbolize being lonesome, anger and physical pain red, black, blue and purple.

I would say red. It can symbolize blood, for actual physical injuries, but if you have emotional pain, the color red is still used when we think of our heart.
