Did you also find it to be an ironic parody of life?

The book is delightful. And no, it is NOT an ironic parody of anything. The Atwaters were merely writing a childrens book. Regardless of what your teachers may say, not every book has a higher meaning. Some were meant only to be read and enjoyed.
