This is an Apple atricle that walks you through step by step on using your ipod to actually move ALL of your music and library info to a new computer, not just the iTunes purchased things. It works, I just tried it a few days ago.

Go to ilounge.com. They offer a tutorial on how to transfer music from your iPod to your computer. They also point you at several different software programs that you can choose from to do the job. Once you know how to do that, you can copy your work tunes to the iPod and then transfer those to your home computer. It is not too hard.

I looked into this once when I reinstalled Windows. It turns out that the only music you can transfer FROM an iPod (using iTunes, anyway) is music you've purchased.

Hope that answers your question.
