Create a warm memory, for memories last a lifetime! Here's some suggestions, but, you'll get the idea:
How about a session at one of the PhotoBooths? Afterwards you both can pick out your favorite photo shots of each other as a Valentine memento?
Then off to a park for a romantic picnic (do it up big-bring a nice blanket, a picnic basket with all the whistles and bells, good food and drink, bring a small vase and pick some flowers at the park and have a flower centerpiece, maybe even a candle, and bring good music!). Give a flower as a memento to your valentine (for her to dry and press to preserve it in her scrapbook or diary, etc.).
Then, off to the movies, huh? Can't beat dark and snuggly. Your ticket stub is another nice Valentine memento, too.
The very fact that you cared enough to ask about it almost insures that whatever you do decide to do will please that lucky female. Happy Valentine's Day!

Most girls really love flowers...I know it's an overdone thing, but I swear it never gets old. If you know her favorite flower, I suggest getting her one...otherwise you could get her a rose. A bouquet might be too hardcore, but one would be really sweet...and if you don't want it to seem too serious, don't get a red one...try pink or orange (be careful with yellows as in some cultures a yellow flower is a sign of infidelity/wanting to break up). Of course, if she's an anti-flower girl, then I'd skip this idea...but there are very few people who wouldn't appreciate that.
I'm not sure how well you know her...maybe get her a CD or a movie she really wants...or a book...maybe a piece of jewerly if she's into that (not expensive...just maybe from some decent place at the mall). A box of See's chocolates will never go to waste. :) If you want to be a little more romantic, have a dinner and a movie at your place...and you don't need to cook...order some food to go and just set it out on a plate. :)
For me it's always been the thought that counted...even if someone just took me out for coffee or to a movie...I think most girls don't expect much, so any effort will be appreciated. Good luck and have fun!

Get her some balloons, maybe 1 rose, a small cute bear, and a small box of candy. If you wanted, you could even get her a ring, not too expensive. Wal-mart has some really cute ones, but of course you would need to know her ring size. Well, don't bother about the ring if you don't know her size. On the other hand, scratch out any thoughts of jewelry. Try a nice, cute shirt like a printed tee or something like that. Oh yeah, don't forget the card. Make sure it doesn't say 'I love You' being that you just started dating.

Since you've only been dating a week, I would go simple. A cute, stuffed animal and her favorite candy. If you don't know it, ask her! Girls really love that stuff.
