On my IBM thinkpad R51, it cannot boot up if it is on AC power. I have to unplug it and let it boot on battery power. Does anyone know why or how to fix this?

Odd...

The only thing I could suggest is try taking the battery out, plug it into AC and try to turn it on. If it works, plug the battery back in and see if it goes back to not booting.

It is possible it's a short in the battery.

properly, ram could be quite trouble-free to function (basically look it up on line) however the snap shots card may well be integrated so which you will could replace the finished motherboard with the intention to alter the snap shots card.
