Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* Gym Biz: Starting and Running Your Own Gym for Profit by Lou Ravelle
* Small Club Start-up: A Personal Trainer's Guide by Ron Fay
* The Business of Fitness: Understanding the Financial Side of Owning a Fitness Business by Thomas Plummer
* Making Money in the Fitness Business by Thomas Plummer

I also posted links to some free articles in the source box.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

are you sure you want to open up a gym, are you going to have enough people going in, so that the profits are good to pay for bills like electricity its quite high for a gym..........just my opinion and to answer you question , go to gymsup.com good website, also have you considered getting a franchise for your gym, they do all the work.
