I found Romeo to be a weak character because he played his actions solely on emotions.

Romeo was in love with Capulates niece Rpsaline and snuck into the feast for the sole purpose of meeting with her although, she clearly has no intrest in him.

Romeo sees Juliet and without even finfing out if she is intrested in him or where her heart is on anything he declares himself hooked on her.

Next he and she spend most of the night talking with one another then they are married within 24 hours.

If Romeo had strength, he would have thought of his parents after the news of Juliets death and not just the way he felt. His mother died due to the grief of his exile.

Also, he should have sough comfort and wisdom from frair Lawernce. It being clear that Juliet had not killed herself and that the frair was the only one who knew of their marrige, he should have considered the slightest hope that Juliet might be alive.

Yes he was weak

The truth is, Romeo is the weak character. If you pay attention to the conversation between Romeo and the priest when he is talking about killing himself. The priest isn't very convinced that Romeo is going to kill himself, and that is why he sends him away. Juliet is the stronger character because she is determined and the priest knows this. The priest knew that Juliet would kill herself and that is why he convinced her to take the poison and he would officiate over the death.

Romeo needed other characters to balance his strength, but Juliet did things on her own.

The character of Romeo is, in my opinion, with its complexities. He is in ways a strong character because he has determination, and a strong will to live and to obtain what he is after. This is not apparent when it comes to Juliet, though. You may say that she is his one "weakness." After Romeo is banished, he essentially found no purpose in his life and wanted to cease functioning.
