Marty is a good coach and AJ ego go tin the way and now I hope Sdiego shits the bed. Maybe Marty would have wound up in Dallas, if the job was still open. Timing is everything and hel probably go into the broadcast booth and be back in 2008 coaching the Browns or Giants because I think Crennel and Coughlin are on thin ice.

This is why what they did to him was so wrong. They waited so long to cut him that now he has nowhere TO go. Had they just cut him when they busted out of the playoffs, he would have gotten several offers. The Raiders and Cardinals would have been all over him. The Falcons may have even considered it. But now, everything's full and he basically has no other option except college or home.

AJ is sounding more like another Al Davis. I am sure Marty well get a job, maybe Oakland should pick him up and for once they can get into the playoffs.

He still gets paid the remainder of his contract. I believe it is $3 Mil for this next season. So he is in no hurry to find a job. There will be a number of jobs next year as there always are. He will intrique a number of teams. If he takes another job this season (assitant or college), he may forfeit the remainder of his contract.

He will probably retire. No more coaching vacancies open right now. Good luck, Marty. Thanks for at least helping to bring back some respectability to the Chargers Organization. 3 straight winning seasons isn't too bad, but winning the SB would've saved your job.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him brought in as an advisor somewhere, ala Dan Reeves in Houston.

Marty got a raw deal from the Chargers.
