Teacher said to look questions in the Net I can't find answer to this one When was the idea of jigsaw fit and who thought of it?

Your question is confusing in several ways.

First: the sentence: "When was the idea of jigsaw fit?" seems to be an incomplete sentence, and is meaningless by itself. Why is the word "fit" there" what does it refer to? Are you referring to how pieces of a jigsaw puzzle fit together? When they were invented?

In what context are you using the word "jigsaw"? The wood-cutting tool, the web-server platform, the line of women's clothing, the computer VAR company, the comic book series, the record label, way continental tectonic plates fit together, the post-adoption resource center, the healthcare online magazine for chronic conditions, or the website for buying and trading business contacts?

As you can see, you need to be MUCH more specific in your question. Try to use complete and grammatically-correct sentences, make proper use of puncuation, and make use of the spellchecker. This is a question/answer board - not a chat room.

Last but not least, try to make sure that the question really does belong in the category you put it in. If it really is a Geography question, make it sound like one!

Once you do this, I would be happy to try to answer your question.

I searched "jigsaw fit of continents" and got 21,900 hits. I think the third or fourth had the name of the man who originated the theory.
