I really need help to answer this question!

I had my last period starting 4 January '07 and me and my husband are trying for a baby I was using an ovulation urine test. On 29-30 Januray accoring to the test I was ovulating and during this time we were trying to conceive.
it is now 13 February and I haven't had my period yet and pregnancy tests are negative.

my periods are using 28 days, and I reckon I didn't ovulate till late in January as I just came off the pill and I understand that the body can take a while to ovulate properly again.

I feel as though I'm pregnant and I'm just wondering if perhaps I am trying to test the pregnancy hormone too early, but I just can't wait to find out!

My husband and I have a baby which was conceived in the first month of coming off the pill 2 years ago also.

please can someone give me some advice!!

Thanks,

Sophia

Well, you say you have 28 day cycles but since you've been on birth control you don't really know that--periods on birth control aren't real periods they are just withdrawl bleeds. If you got a pos. ovulation test on Jan 30th then you probably ovulated 2 days later. And your period comes 10-16 days after ovulation so if your period hasn't started by Feb. 16th take another test. Also, it is common to get false positive ovulation tests the first month coming off the birth control pill.

sometimes when you take a urine pregnancy test it might be too early, but some tests u'll be able to see faint lines, or you can ask you doctor for a blood test which are more accurate. or you just didnt ovulate at the time of the test said you did, but if your a 28 a day cycle i would assume you would have. goodluck

Wait a week or 2 then test again and try to make a doctors appointment so they can give you a blood test those are the only real tests that don't lie

I think you are anxious/nervous & a little over excited...Relax and wait for another week or so & try the test again. You may not of had a period because you are stressed or nervous.
