Canadians are Canadians no matter if they are French or English decent...like the whites and the blacks in the USA...both sides talk about separation but they do n't mean it...but what really want is to be allowed each side ... to get more involved in the behind the scenes politics...and both sides to be more involved in the politics that will effect their side...a nation that gets divided gets weak and all sides fight each other...See what happen to INDIA that got divided to 3 different Nations...did any of the 3 new Nations got real piece...secuirity and hapiness for their people who faught so hard to seperate.?....I am still thinking about it.

Such a move is quite pointless. Quebec cannot survive on it's own with it's current debt load. So the whole thing is quite moot. Or does Quebec plan on doing away with all those govt goodies like health care and welfare rent subsidies and the like. That is what it will take for Quebec to survive on it's own. Also don't under estimate the bad feelings this will create in the rest of Canada could lead to some nasty spiteful economic consequences from the rest of Canada. The govt has already bent over backwards enough for the Franco phones it's time to let this issue go and get on with life in an English speaking continent.

Of course Quebec should separate! They will have to give back all the territory they were given as part of the deal to join Canada, so the people living in those area will be relieved of having to be from Quebec. In addition, we will have a wonderful tiny little new impoverished third world hellhole of our very own right here in North America! Hooray!

Generally, no.
But it does highlight one glaring problem when a single national language is not adopted. When people are unable to bridge the language barrier, bad things happen (politically).
