It's an evaluation ordered by your doctor (in this case for your worker's comp. carrier) to see whether you are ready to go back to work, what type of work you will be able to do, and if there are any restrictions such as amount of weight you can lift.

The evaluation takes several hours and is quite thorough. They also evaluate whether you are trying your hardest throughout the evaluation.
