Change your number asap, even if you don't answer the calls, if someone leaves you a voicemail, it still uses your minutes.

How on earth can you inadvertently run up a $500 phone bill. Come on.. that alone is a little hard to swallow. Even if you didn't listen, were disgusted and then you hung up on the first minute that means that you answered your phone for over eight HOURS of air time without taking any action! Good luck explaining that to the cell company.

1) Change your phone number.. that solves the problem.

2) Go post HIS / HER? phone number if you want some kind of juvenile revenge.

I doubt you can challenge the bill for you obviously spent the time talking to these people to rack up the bill. For future use you could always just let strange numbers get the voice mail, and if you feel that you are being harrased change your number (the phone company will understand)

If changing your number doesn't help, try the sites below. Most CELL Phone companies wont work with you on your bill issues. It sometime takes a different approach. Hope this helps.

Do you know who did it?
If you did, then take a picture of it.

Take him tosmall claims court -- but you need proof of why he would do it.

Send the picture as evidence to your cell phone company.
Ask to speak to a supervisor if the rep cant help.

They will be able to see the large number of incoming calls you receieved and should give you a one time charge back.
thats not the problem.

Then you could ask them if they could change your number

That should solve the problem

You need to change ur number. Or you have to pay the bills. 1 or da other. or you can report the person and get the police involved. What i wud do is

1. Make sure i know their name and report him to the police
2. change ma number and make sure my friends and family know it
3. Protest to ur bill company and demand to them taht u dont pay the bill and if uu are made to then u wil sue them.

Why did you answer them i would imagine that after the first, lets say five, you would have started screening your calls. And how did this jerk get ur number in the first place?

Most cell phones have caller id. I know if I don't recognize the number, I don't waste the minutes to answer it.
