Five years ago I had breast reduction surgery and have had pain on my left side under my breast ever since. At first it was quite severe and my primary care physician said it was " just nerve damage not to worry it will go away". Now five years later it is still there but not as severe. However, when I do anything that involves really using that muscle ; I get sharp pains across my chest and cannot use my arm or the pain is too great. It's affecting my ability to perform my job and I have to do something.

Have you tried your plastic surgeon who did your surgery?

I would go back to the PS or your doctor and check it out.

I completely sympathize as I have a similar problem. I would be grateful to be at the size you're at now as I'm larger than that. I have to special order all my bras and they only last about a month before they no longer have the support I need. I have been to a surgeon who thought I was the perfect candidate for reduction surgery. Unfortunately, my insurance denied me. They sent me a form letter which basically said I wasn't suffering enough. I would recommend you go find a plastic surgeon in your area and go for a consultation. He will ask you all kinds of health questions. Please be honest about when you quit smoking and your current smoking of marijuana. He will examine your breasts and take pictures (with your permission). He does this to help determine what kind of surgery would be best for you. And the pictures are for proof to your insurance company that this is a procedure that you need. If you get a denial, like I did, keep trying. Keep going to the doctor with your complaints. And get as many doctors as you can who'll say that you need this surgery. You have a long fight ahead of you if you want insurance to pay for this, but hopefully in the end, it will be all worth it. Good luck!

Go see a general practitioner. He can lead you to the right doctor to consult.
