there are living dead, there are the people with no hope, no passion, no expectation, no life. just a routin..no feelings just apathy..that people are living dead.

The first Live Dead album was the most fantastic. Dark Star! Absolutely sublime guitar playing by Jerry Garcia.

It does depend on your definitions.
Many people believe that physically dead people on this earth live on, in soem way.
A person can be physically alive, yet their spirit could be dead, or their religion, or something like confidence. When a person is condamned to death, we say they are dead, although they still live this day. When I am incredibly tired, I say I am dead, though I still breathe. One person may be alive in your eyes, but dead through the eyes of another.

If they are dead...and walking around they are doing things that are like living people, but still while they're dead.
Rob Zombie once sang a song about living dead girls. There might be more details in there.

It's an oxymoron

And just because the statement is said, doesn't make it true.

Most often the phrase is fictional, because in reality the living can't be dead, nor can the dead be living. That is if you are using the words "dead" & "alive" by defination. Both words can be used in more of a methorically.....such as...."my dad died but he is living in my heart." Or, I hate them, they are dead to me.

It is all just how you use words- samantics

Ah! but how do you know which is which? If there is reincarnation you could be the previous dead now living or the previous living now dead it depends what life after death is. This could be it! So it could be true either way round.

Metaphorically.

1. they produced some works that are still relevant and resonate with people living now, but they're dead themselves.
2. they're physically alive, but their quality of life is so low, they may as well be dead.

Or tongue-in-cheek, in a literary way: Zombies.

Sure. It would happen that any each of us lives eternal life with gap in memories. Assuming that, death as we understand it simply does not exist, yet we all know feelings of being short of Life we want to sense. Instead we sense something unwanting. Would it be death while alive? indeed. That what we "think" life is would well be Death from perspective of a Source from which Life springs. We all asking same questions sooner or later; "is is Life? Is it that what it meant to be? Be sure, we are right...Death is what life is not. Still alive, for there is nothing but Life, in infinity forms.....
